On the 27th of April 2021, the discipline council for biological sciences of the Jagiellonian University formally confirmed the academic degree of “habilitated doctor” to our group leader, dr Sebastian Glatt. The title of the habilitation thesis was “Structural and Functional Characterization of eukaryotic tRNA Modification Complexes” and at the end of the procedure the new academic degree was granted with distinction. Last Thursday, 10.6.2021, the new “Dr hab.” from our lab had the opportunity to take part in the official promotion ceremony in the Collegium Maius of the Jagiellonian University. The ceremony way led by the rector of the Jagiellonian University prof. Jacek Popiel and prof. Kazimierz Strzałka provided a beautiful laudation for Sebastian Glatt.
