On 23rd and 24th of May, the whole Institute enjoyed a two-day seminar in the heart of the Tatry mountains – the town of Zakopane.
About 140 participants contributed to 90 poster presentations and 30 talks. The meeting was dedicated to sharing through short presentations and posters our team spirit and passion for science. Talks and poster session were a great opportunity for many young scientists to show their achievements and progress in scientific projects to fellow researchers and a great occasion to get to know each other better.
Structural Biology Core Facility members had the opportunity to promote our facility on the posters. We used the conference time to meet and discuss with users and get to know their research areas better. Our frequent user Elżbieta Wątor won the 1st best poster prize – congratulations Ela!
This School was the perfect occasion to give a great farewell to our Director Prof. Strzałka, who opened the conference and also gave a speech on a gala dinner. Every detail of the conference was carefully and beautifully organized by Edyta Żyła, Barbara Pucelik and Grzegorz Dubin, to whom we gratefully thank.
We can’t wait for the next MCB School next year!
